A poco più di un mese dal lancio, l’attesa per l’imminente rilascio del prossimo top di gamma di Samsung è in continuo aumento. E con la comparsa in rete delle prime immagini ufficiali sul Galaxy S20 Plus, XDA Developers ha appena aggiunto un pizzico di entusiasmo in più alla lunga lista di fedeli della compagnia di Seul.
Per gentile concessione del sito, possiamo finalmente dare uno sguardo a quello che sarà l’aspetto definitivo del Galaxy S20 Plus e in particolare stabilire quanto fossero accurati i precedenti rendering. Da quanto mostrato, il dispositivo presenta una configurazione a quattro fotocamere sul retro affiancate da un modulo flash e da quello che sembra un microfono aggiuntivo. Quest’ultimo elemento potrebbe migliorare radicalmente la qualità audio per la registrazione video, una delle grandi priorità di Samsung.
Galaxy S20 Plus: confermato il design
La decisione del colosso sudcoreano di rinnovare lo schema di denominazione dei suoi top di gamma non è apparentemente l’unica sorpresa in arrivo. Come rivelano i rumor, la società starebbe anche eliminando una firma della serie Galaxy S dalla S6. Per quanto riguarda lo schermo, è anche qui confermato l’Infinity-O display sul Galaxy S20 Plus con un solo foto centrale di dimensioni più piccole rispetto all’attuale per la fotocamera selfie. Cambiano i bordi ancora più sottili, mentre la curva edge del display è stata ridotta, a favore di un feedback quasi piatto.
Altra assenza sulla scocca dello smartphone è il tasto Bixby, che suggerisce una scelta di Samsung di non imporre più il suo assistente virtuale ai clienti, consentendo loro la scelta del proprio assistente. L’intera serie Galaxy S20 sarà disponibile sia in versione 4G che in 5G, anche se il mercato statunitense potrebbe ricevere solo la versione 5G. Il telefono sarà alimentato da un chipset Snapdragon 865 e dal nuovo modem 5G X55 che lo rende compatibile con le reti sub-6GHz e mmWave. Nel mercato europeo al posto del processore di Qualcomm sarà presente l’Exynos 990.
Il Galaxy S20 Plus potrebbe non essere la variante premium per quest’anno. Infatti, con la scelta di rimuovere la serie “e”, Samsung starebbe progettando il lancio di una terza versione denominato Galaxy S20 Ultra, a fianco di un Galaxy S20 standard e del modello Plus. Questa variante Ultra potrebbe ricevere tecnologie fotografiche migliori rispetto ai fratelli.
